IGT and New York Lottery Extend Partnership

Claim 100% up to $1,000 in Casino Bonuses on your first THREE deposits

International Game Technology (IGT) has extended its agreement with the New York Lottery. The renewed deal will see the two continue working together until August 2026.

The Provider Will Continue Supplying the NY Lottery

The four-year extension will also expand the agreements between IGT and the lottery. For example, the provider will use a new claims and payment system, while it keeps on supplying the New York Lottery with the lottery central system.

In addition, IGT will continue powering what it considers to be one of the best lotteries in the US with its various solutions, including field services, instant ticket warehousing and distribution, call center support, retailer training and infrastructure improvements.

IGT’s chief operating officer of lottery, Jay Gendron, spoke about the agreement. He noted that his company and the New York Lottery have worked together for what is more than three decades now. The two have enjoyed a robust partnership so far and Gendron is happy to continue supplying the lottery with best-in-class solutions.

IGT has built a trusted partnership with the New York Lottery since 1986. For more than 35 years, we have worked collaboratively with the Lottery to deliver world-class, innovative solutions for retailers and players alike.

IGT Expands Footprint Despite Financial Challenges

At the beginning of August, IGT posted its financial results for the second quarter of 2022. Despite being one of the powerhouses in the sector, the company recorded a slight decline in its revenues. All segments seemed to underperform as the company failed to see a major improvement in its standings.

Luckily, the decline is very slight but the company also recorded some concerning losses. Despite earning a net income of $300 million in Q2 2021, the company now had a net loss of $4 million.

Although IGT has some struggles, it continues to improve its presence in the United States and beyond. At the beginning of August, the company inked a partnership deal with Nisqually Red Wind Casino, a Washington-based tribal venue. The renowned supplier powered the casino with sports betting, allowing it to engage sports fans in the state.

In July, IGT also expanded its footprint in the LATAM region thanks to a deal with Nuevo Casino Alberdi, a brand new casino in Salta, Argentina. IGT agreed to supply the fresh venue with its critically-acclaimed games and gaming cabinets.

IGT also expanded its Mega Millions agreement with Holland Casino, a notable Dutch operator. Overall, IGT continues to expand globally but will now have to adapt to the financial challenges caused by the rising costs of energy and the ever-dynamic nature of the market.

Bodog MLB Odds: Toronto Blue Jays Conclude Cubs Series

Bodog MLB Odds: The Toronto Blue Jays (69-58) are playing host to the Chicago Cubs (55-74) this week, and the third game of the set is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:07 PM ET. Both teams are third in their respective divisions, but have different postseason trajectories. The Jays will likely send Mitch White (4.24 ERA) to the mound, while the Cubs have yet to announce a starter for the Wednesday game.

Bet on baseball at Bodog MLB Odds: and get a free 100% bonus.

Before they started their series against the Cubs, the Blue Jays were swept by the LA Angels, scoring a meagre three runs in three games, while giving up 22. They’re still in possession of the third wild card spot in the AL, but the Baltimore Orioles are snapping at their heels. On Monday, the first game of the Cubs-Jays series started with the Jays down 4-0 as they entered the seventh. Then Danny Jansen turned things around with a three-run homer, followed by a single to score a run in the 11th to secure the 5-4 Blue Jays victory.

The Cubs have been inconsistent since winning five straight games mid-August. They enter the Blue Jays series on the heels of a 2-1 series loss against the Milwaukee Brewers. They’re far out of the NL wild card race and will be eager for a fresh start next season as they look to rebuild for the second time in 10 years.

  • Norrie Flies Through Flushing Meadows Opener

Norrie Flies Through Flushing Meadows Opener

Claim 100% up to $1,000 in Casino Bonuses on your first THREE deposits

Cameron Norrie wasted no time bringing his impressive 2022 form to the US Open on Tuesday, when the sixth seed raced past Benoit Paire 6-0, 7-6(1), 6-0 to reach the second round in New York in style.

Norrie claimed the first and third sets of his second tour-level meeting with Paire in just 18 minutes and 15 minutes, respectively, as his consistency overwhelmed his opponent. He also held firm in a far tighter second set during which former World No. 18 Paire let slip the opportunity to level the first-round match when serving at 5-3.

Norrie fired 24 winners, including nine aces, to capitalise on a wayward performance by Paire, who reached the fourth round in New York in 2015. The win represented a comprehensive start for the Briton as he seeks to back up his run to his maiden Grand Slam semi-final at Wimbledon in July.

    [ATP APP]

The 27-year-old Norrie has pedigree on American hard courts. The former Texas Christian University Horned Frog lifted his maiden ATP Masters 1000 trophy in Indian Wells in 2021 and also claimed the title in Delray Beach in February. Alongside his Wimbledon run, those triumphs have headlined a stellar 2022 for the Briton, who improved his season-record to 42-19 with Tuesday’s win.

Norrie will next face Joao Sousa or Mackenzie McDonald as he seeks to equal his best performance in New York, a third-round appearance in 2020. A deep run at Flushing Meadows would also boost his chances of qualifying for the Nitto ATP Finals for the second time — Norrie currently sits 11th in the Pepperstone ATP Live Race To Turin.

  • Française des Jeux Relaunches Mission Patrimoine

Française des Jeux Relaunches Mission Patrimoine

Claim 100% up to $1,000 in Casino Bonuses on your first THREE deposits

Française des Jeux (FDJ), the operator of France’s national lottery games, has launched a new iteration of its initiative to protect the country’s cultural heritage. The so-called Mission Patrimoine will see FDJ sell new scratch cards and donate a part of the proceeds for the protection and restoration of French heritage sites.

    FDJ Relaunches Mission Patrimoine

The current Mission Patrimoine is the initiative’s fifth edition. The campaign has enjoyed huge success in its past iterations, prompting FDJ to continue caring for France’s cultural heritage. For example, last year’s edition of Mission Patrimoine saw the French operator donate €28 million for the protection of cultural sites.

The newest edition of Mission Patrimoine will see FDJ launch new scratch cards. There will be three versions this year, representing traditional French houses in timber, stone and brick. The price of a single ticket is around $15 (current conversion rates) and can yield a prize as high as $1.5 million.

In addition, FDJ will offer seven Loto draws, including a Super Loto draw on September 16. The latter will have a minimum jackpot of around $13 million. A portion of the money from the Loto draws and Mission Patrimoine cards will fund the restoration and protection of old French cultural sites.

FDJ Continues to Work with Foundation du Patrimoine

FDJ’s new campaign has the official support of France’s Ministry of Culture. The operator’s goal is to provide a portion of its proceeds to Fondation du Patrimoine, a non-profit organization that conserves France’s national heritage.

This year’s Mission Patrimoine will FDJ provide Foundation du Patrimoine with the funds needed to protect 118 heritage sites, including 18 emblematic locations.

Taking a look at the numbers, FDJ will donate around $1.84 for each ticket, which is the amount of the levy on bets that would normally go to the State reserve. FDJ will also offer $0.73 for each grid of $3 that players have played during Super Loto and $0.54 for each grid of $2.20 played.

FDJ is an official partner of the aforementioned Foundation du Patrimoine. The two parties’ agreement is set to expire in 2024, meaning that FDJ will likely launch another edition of Mission Patrimoine next year. As per the agreement, the operator has to provide $500,000 to one of Foundation du Patrimoine’s projects each year. Meanwhile, the FDJ Corporate Foundation has to sponsor Foundation du Patrimoine with an annual grant of $200,000.

FDJ recently posted its H1 results. The operator’s revenues are currently buoyant but the company remains optimistic.

Marina Bay Sands Launches $1M Scholarship to Train Local Talent

Claim 100% up to $1,000 in Casino Bonuses on your first THREE deposits

Marina Bay Sands, a luxurious hotel in Singapore, offering hospitality and gaming, will launch a new scholarship program. Las Vegas Sands, which owns the establishment, will invest $1 million in the program, benefitting over 100 local students.

    MBS Launches a Scholarship Program

According to a statement from Las Vegas Sands, the program is a part of its efforts to help the hospitality sector and raise more workers. This is also the main priority of its global program Sands Cares.

The Sands Hospitality Scholarship Program is aimed at students who wish to work in the tourism and hospitality sector. The program targets the students of six local Institutes of Higher Learning, according to the casino company. This includes Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, the Singapore Institute of Technology and Temasek Polytechnic. Las Vegas Sands, its subsidiary, Marina Bay Sands and the six institutes signed a Memorandum of Understanding during a ceremony this Monday, allowing LVS to proceed with the program.

The program will allow certain students from said IHLs to receive a scholarship that they can use to cover their learning expenses. The recipients can pay for their courses, buy books and other student necessities or participate in exchange programs.

Las Vegas Sands announced that the scholarship program will continue for three or more years and will begin next year.

Las Vegas Sands Wants to Encourage People to Work in the Sector

Paul Town, chief operating officer of Marina Bay Sands, commented on the new program. He noted that MBS is one of the largest hospitality and casino companies around and, as such, wants to nurture local hospitality talents.

According to Town, the venue already employs thousands of talented people in diverse roles and hopes to help raise the next generation of skillful hospitality workers. According to him, this program is a way for Marina Bay Sands to encourage more people to work in the hospitality industry.

We are always on the lookout for the brightest talents to join us in our next stage of growth, and the scholarship is intended to encourage more to chart their paths in this burgeoning industry.

Paul Town, COO, Marina Bay Sands

In May, Marina Bay Sands ran another initiative that aimed to incentivize workers to join the sector. The company held a two-day walk-in recruitment fair where it promised to hire 2,000 new workers. During the event, the entire recruitment process was facilitated, making it easier for workers to join the company.

  • Gambling.com: Q2 2022 53% Growth Offset by Expense Increases

    Gambling.com: Q2 2022 53% Growth Offset by Expense Increases

Claim 100% up to $1,000 in Casino Bonuses on your first THREE deposits

Gambling industry affiliate services provider Gambling.com Group released Monday its financial report for the second business quarter of 2022, posting 53% growth in revenue.

    Impressive Revenue Growth

For the three months ended June 30, 2022, the provider of performance marketing and digital marketing services to gambling operators generated $15.9 million in revenue, significantly increasing its result of $10.4 million for the respective three-month period in the year before.

Commenting on the quarterly results, Gambling.com CEO and co-founder Charles Gillespie outlined the exceptionally strong growth of over 300% the group achieved across US markets and the company-wide growth of over 50% the business delivered in the quarter.

“The strength of our business model was also on display, as we continued to deliver strong Adjusted EBITDA and Free Cash Flow despite the second quarter being the seasonally weakest and while investing in the organization to drive future growth,” Gillespie stated.

Cost of sales for the reported quarter came out at $495 million leaving Gambling.com Group with $15.4 million in gross operating profit, nearly 15% more than what the business reported in the second quarter of 2021.

Gambling.com posted increases in expenses across the board: $8.5 million in sales and marketing expenses, up 174% when compared to the %3.1 million in Q2 2021, $1.5 million in technology expenses, up nearly 60% on the $944,000 in Q2 2021, and $4.8 million in administrative expenses, an increase of 41% year-over-year. The group also accounted for $2.8 million in cost of fair value movement in contingent consideration.

    Expense Increases and Exchange Rates

The group ended the second quarter with an operating loss of $2.2 million as, similarly to its full-year 2021 performance, the increase in revenue was more than offset by the increase in expenses. The Q2 2022 operating loss reversed an operating profit of $3.2 million in the respective quarter of the year prior.

Adjusted EBITDA was $3.6 million registering a decrease of 34% from the $5.5 million in Q2 2021 and the adjusted EBITDA margin, 23%, was also down from the 53% registered in Q2 2021.

The decrease in adjusted EBITDA did not bother Gambling.com’s chief financial officer Elias Mark, who stated that the group had delivered on both its revenue and adjusted EBITDA targets “ahead of the street consensus and generated strong free cash flow in the quarter.”

Cash flow from operations was $3.5 million, down 27% from $4.7 million in the respective quarter of 2021. Free cash flow also decreased year-over-year to $2.9 million, from $3.1 million in Q2 2021.

Mark also noted the strong trading in the group’s more mature markets in the UK and Ireland where the business mostly experienced the adverse effect of the weakening pound versus dollar exchange rate, incurring $6.6 million in exchange rate differences on translating foreign currencies in the quarter.

On the company’s full-year outlook, Mark said that the business “remains well capitalized and in a strong position to meet the financial outlook for the year,” while Gillespie noted that the group “offers the best value proposition for online gambling operators’ investments in customer acquisitions.”

  • Swedish Regulator Slaps ATG with SEK 2M Fine Over Self-Exclusion Failure

Swedish Regulator Slaps ATG with SEK 2M Fine Over Self-Exclusion Failure

Claim 100% up to $1,000 in Casino Bonuses on your first THREE deposits

Swedish gambling regulator Spelinspektionen has made a decision to reprimand and fine horse racing and sports betting operator AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) with the amount of SEK 2 million ($188,434) due to deficiencies in its self-exclusion option.

No Access to the Self-Exclusion Function on ATG Platforms During a Period of Two Weeks

On February 15, 2022, ATG informed Spelinspektionen that the self-exclusion functionality was not available to players that logged in via mobile bank ID during the period from January 13 to January 28 due to a technical issue. The issue appeared after an update of the log-in system of ATG’s platforms.

ATG discovered that there is a problem on January 27 and resolved the error on the next day – January 28.

It was not possible for ATG to find out how many players wanted to use the self-exclusion function during that period but were not able to use it due to the issue. However, the company has estimated that approximately 100 players may have been affected.

It must be noted that players who logged in using bank ID on file or their username were able to access the self-exclusion feature during the same period. The function was also available via customer service, which three people contacted between January 13 and 28. The link to Spelinspektionen’s self-exclusion system, Spelpaus, also worked correctly during the period.

According to ATG, the issue has been resolved and new procedures and measures have been put in place in order to avoid further occurrence of the problem.

The Background for the Swedish Gambling Regulator’s Decision

According to the Swedish Gambling Act, the self-exclusion feature has to be visible and accessible from all pages on a licensed platform offering online gambling. This means that ATG has breached this important regulatory provision.

Users having access and being able to shut themselves off from gambling via the self-exclusion feature, either through the gambling provider’s website or via Spelpaus, is an integral part of a licensee’s gaming responsibility. The issue with the access to this feature for users logging via mobile bank ID is a serious breach of this responsibility on the part of ATG.

Spelinspektionen has taken into account that ATG did not discover the problem immediately and that it resolved the error as fast as possible when it eventually found out it existed. However, the regulator does not consider it condonable that a technical error causing a deficiency of this nature was not discovered immediately. The company only found out about the bug 14 days later, and a large number of players may thus have been affected.

Due to the seriousness of the failure, Spelinspektionen is going to reprimand and also fine ATG. According to the Swedish Gambling Act, fines may be a minimum of SEK 5,000 ($469) and up to 10% of a company’s turnover reported during the previous financial year. Taking into consideration that ATG’s GGR for 2021 was SEK 5,5 billion ($515 million), Spelinspektionen has set the fine at SEK 2 million ($188,434).

In conclusion, Sivko said: “This is an opportunity to go outside the box and find new ways to be useful – both to the esports community and SoftSwiss.”

I found esports interesting because of the competition’s live component in the virtual world. When I came into the industry, there were no signs that it would reach today’s scale. However, I loved what I did and tried to grow.

Kostya Sivko, brand ambassador at SoftSwiss

Overall Sivko has 9 years of experience as an esports commentator. One of his most impressive achievements is commentating for the CS:GO Major Championship, a leading event for the esports industry. But Sivko did not participate in a single such event but commented 12 different times.

Besides CS:GO Major Championships, Sivko was also recognized by the esports community as the best commentator in the industry in 2020 as well as 2021. During his professional career, he has also collaborated with SoftSwiss clients. Aside from esports, Sivko has a deep iGaming industry knowledge and significant experience in esports betting.
