Barcelona secured a loan deal for Man City’s Joao Cancelo this summer and with the full-back unlikely to ever return to the Etihad, the Catalan club would like to keep him if he continues to perform.

The La Liga giants have serious financial issues which has hindered their most recent transfer windows. As the club can’t afford many permanent transfers, Barca have taken advantage of the free-agent market and loan deals to get by.

Two of the biggest this summer were that of Portuguese duo, Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo. Both have made promising starts to life in Catalunya and Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, is happy to try and keep them if they continue to perform.

Laporta said about the duo on Catalunya Radio via Fabrizio Romano: “If João Cancelo and João Félix continue to play at their same level, we will make an effort to keep them.

“I want top players to stay at Barça and I have really liked João Félix for a long time”.

Cancelo’s time at Man City is certainly finished, despite being one of the best full-backs Pep Guardiola has had during his time at the Manchester club. The Premier League champions will be happy to sell the Portugal international but Barcelona will have to meet their asking price.

The 29-year-old has made a promising start to life in Spain across his opening eight games, proving Xavi’s side with two goals and an assist. The Barca boss is a fan of Cancelo and he will be hoping those behind the scenes at the La Liga club can make a permanent deal happen next summer.

Barcelona have had a lot of interest in Man City players over recent transfer windows and the Catalan giants would now like to bring Julian Alvarez to the club in 2024.

The La Liga giants signed Ilkay Gundogan and Joao Cancelo from the Premier League champions this summer, and they also had a very strong interest in Bernardo Silva, but could not afford to bring the Portuguese star to Spain.

According to Sport, Barcelona would like to bring Julian Alvarez to the club in 2024 as the World Cup winner is certain to grow into one of the best players in the world very soon.

The Argentina star has made a fast start to the current campaign as the forward has played in every game for Man City, providing Pep Guardiola with six goals and five assists across 13 matches.

The 23-year-old is the future of the Manchester club and with a contract at the Etihad until 2028, it will be impossible for Barca to lure the Argentina star away.

Just like Silva, Barcelona will not be able to afford Alvarez due to their financial issues and it is certain that City would put a big price tag on the forward in order to keep suitors away.

Barcelona produced an amazing comeback on Saturday evening as the Catalan giants defeated Celta Vigo 3-2.

Xavi’s men found themselves 2-0 with ten minutes to go but a brace from Robert Lewandowski and a late winner from Joao Cancelo helped complete an incredible 3-2 comeback within the space of nine minutes.

The Man City loanee made a run into the box and was picked out beautifully by Gavi. The full-back knocked the ball into the net and celebrated widely after bagging the 89th-minute winner to continue his impressive start in La Liga with Barca.

  • Stoke City vs Hull City Prediction: Tigers to roar again?

Stoke City vs Hull City Prediction: Tigers to roar again?

Stoke City host Hull City in this Championship clash on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers have enjoyed a positive start to the season while the Potters have struggled to get going so far. There are some interesting markets available which we have picked out for this fixture.

    Team news

The two teams have no fresh injury concerns heading into Sunday’s game. Hull are on an unbeaten run of six games, winning three during this spell. They head to the bet365 Stadium full of confidence, while Stoke haven’t picked up a win in over a month.

Hull and both teams to score (Yes) at 11/2

Liam Rosenior’s stock as a coach is rising at an exponential rate at Hull City. There were signs last year of what he was trying to build on Humberside and now we are seeing him take his side t the next level as they sit sixth in the league table and are on an impressive unbeaten run.

His attacking players are getting among the goals with Aaron Connolly and Ozan Tufan both scoring four each already in the second tier. Hull will feel pleased with their recent point, a goalless stalemate with promotion favourites Leeds United. The clean sheet will have been most pleasing for Rosenior as it was their second of the campaign and against another tough opponent, with Leicester City the other side the Tigers have shut out.

Stoke have had a disappointing start to the campaign, losing four of their opening seven fixtures, despite having an impressive transfer window. Alex Neil’s side had to settle for a point at Huddersfield Town in midweek and they don’t appear to look any closer to picking up another win, which is concerning.

The Tigers head here as the side in form and it looks as though it could be another rough afternoon for the Potters.

Aaron Connolly to score anytime at 11/4

After returning to Hull permanently in the summer on a one-year contract, Connolly couldn’t have asked for a better start with four goals in his first seven Championship appearances of the season. He is repaying Rosenior’s faith and he is playing with a confidence that he has not experienced before in his career.

Both he and Liam Delap are giving the Tigers excellent options up front and it looks as though both can hit double figures this season, which will only strengthen Hull’s bid for a play-off push.

Connolly is in the best form of his career and he is about to face a Stoke side that can’t buy a win at the moment and that are very susceptible to conceding goals. This is perfectly set up for him to grab his fifth goal of the campaign.

Orlando City vs. Inter Miami 2023 MLS Odds, Time, and Prediction

When the betting markets opened, Orlando City vs. Inter Miami odds were in favor of the Herons at some online sportsbooks. Things have changed since. Orlando City’s MLS odds went from +160 to -110 after it became apparent that Lionel Messi will not play on September 24.

The soccer GOAT will have to take a break from playing soccer for at least a couple of days due to a muscle injury that’s been bothering him for a while now. That’s why he had to leave the field in the Toronto FC game last week after playing just 37 minutes. Despite not having the best player in history on the field, the Herons were still able to score four goals that evening. Can they do the same again?

Orlando City Would Love to Get One Over Its Rival

Orlando City might not be the team with the best roster in the MLs, but these guys have been doing great in 2023. They’re currently second in the Eastern Conference, with just a few points away from securing a spot in the 2023 MLS Playoffs.

Although there are no major stars in Orlando City’s locker room, these guys have been playing great as a collective. They’re equally good offensively and defensively, which their score difference proves. So far this season, they’ve scored 45 goals while conceding 36.

What’s interesting about Orlando City’s performances in 2023 is that this team always shows up in big matches. For instance, each of Orlando’s three wins happened against teams that are doing great this season – St. Louis City, Columbus Crew, and FC Cincinnati. Each of these was in the top three in their conference when they played against Orlando City.

Can Inter Miami Do Without Messi (Again)?

As confirmed by coach Gerardo Martino, Lionel Messi will not play against Orlando City due to an injury. The same was the reason why he left the pitch in the 37th minute of the game with Toronto FC when it was still 0-0 on the scoreboard.

Finnish winger Robert Taylor was the one who replaced him, which proved to be a great decision by coach Martino. Why? Because Taylor went on to score two goals and make one assist. Thanks to his output, Inter Miami was able to win 4-0 and get closer to the playoff zone. The Herons are now just five points behind the closest team from the top 9 (DC United) with two games in hand.

This wasn’t the first time Inter Miami won without Messi. The Herons did the same against Sporting Kansas City when Messi was away in Argentina on international duty.

Orlando City vs. Inter Miami Prediction

Inter Miami’s best player is Lionel Messi, but this team is not a one-man army. The Herons have already proved a couple of times that they can do without him. Martino’s boys are motivated to win and we think they’re going to pull it off.

    Pick: Inter Miami to win

West Ham United are reportedly open to allowing Nayef Aguerd to leave the club next summer.

That’s according to a report from Claret and Hugh, who claim the Hammers’ stance on keeping the Morocco international has recently changed following a poor performance against Manchester City.

Although Aguerd wasn’t singled out by his manager for the Cityzens’ second goal during their 3-1 victory on the weekend, Hughie Southon believes the Scotsman is now willing to let the 27-year-old leave.

“Nayef Aguerd – having been linked with both Manchester City and Newcastle – could be on his way if the right sort of bid were to be made next summer,” Southon posted.

“David Moyes didn’t name him when claiming City’s second goal was poor in yesterday’s comments but it was clear he held the central defender responsible.

“And it is not the first time his mistakes have drawn a response from the Hammers boot room where we have discovered there have been words about his performances in the past.

“And it now seems that were offers to be made in and around £50million by either club – or others – the club would certainly take a look.”

  • City to continue winning streak?

    City to continue winning streak?

West Ham United host Manchester City at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday with both sides yet to taste defeat this term. We have scanned the markets in this clash to pick out some selections which we feel will offer punters great value.

    Team news

West Ham boss David Moyes could hand Greek centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos his first start for the club after his summer switch from VfB Stuttgart. He has been suffering with a lower back problem in recent weeks but he will be assessed ahead of Saturday. Czech Republic duo Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek will also be looked at going into the weekend.

Pep Guardiola will be hoping that his Manchester City squad will feature experienced players John Stones and Jack Grealish, who both missed out on the England squad for the September international break. Summer signing Matheus Nunes could be in line to make his debut for the Cityzens.

Manchester City and both teams to score (Yes) at 9/5

The reigning Premier League champions are the only team in the division to have picked up maximum points so far and we expect this to continue against the Hammers this weekend. Their attacking options are far superior and they are still finding ways to create numerous chances per game despite the absence of playmaker Kevin De Bruyne.

They are the joint-second top scorers in the league (with Tottenham Hotspur) and goalscoring superstar Erling Haaland is the leading marksman with six goals so far. It is likely that this game will feature a fair amount of goals, and we feel that West Ham will be in on the action.

Moyes’ men have enjoyed a positive start to the season to follow their Europa Conference League triumph back in June. Everyone knows that their league campaign was disappointing last year but we have been impressed from what we’ve seen of them so far, particularly their counter-attacking masterclass at Brighton & Hove Albion.

In terms of attacking quality and options from the bench, Man City should have West Ham outgunned, but Moyes will certainly know which areas his players can exploit on the break.

Julian Alvarez to score anytime at 8/5

In the absence of De Bruyne, Julian Alvarez has been deployed by Guardiola in an advanced midfield role which is giving the Argentine much more game time than people would have anticipated heading into the campaign. It’s great to see because he is an exquisite footballer and found himself unlucky last season to not have featured more.

The World Cup winner has started the campaign strongly with two goals and one assist in the league so far, and given the likelihood that he will maintain his place in the lineup, the 8/5 price for him to grab his third goal of the season offers great value.

Real Madrid could look to raid Manchester City for 23-year-old star

TigerGaming Poker 100% up To $1000 Welcome Bonus

Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez has been linked with a move away from the club.

A report from Fichajes claims that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the Argentine international.

Apparently, Carlo Ancelotti is looking to bring in attacking reinforcements and the Manchester City striker is on the Italian’s shortlist.

The 23-year-old has been an exceptional acquisition for Manchester City and he managed to hit the ground running in the Premier League. Alvarez scored 17 goals across all competitions during his debut season in the Premier League last year and he helped Manchester City win the treble. He helped Argentina win the World Cup as well.

There is no doubt that the 23-year-old is a world-class talent with a big future ahead of him and Real Madrid could certainly use someone like him.

The Argentine international has all the tools to develop into a world-class striker and the opportunity to play for Real Madrid will be an attractive proposition for him.

Julian Alvarez has registered 22 goal contributions in 48 games at a rate of a goal or assist every 110.5 minutes

He is not a regular starter for Manchester City and the Argentine has had to operate as a wide forward or as a backup option to Erling Haaland this past year. If Real Madrid can provide him with first-team assurances, the player is likely to be tempted.

It will be interesting to see if the Spanish giants can convince Manchester City to sell the player in the coming months.

Apparently, the Premier League champions are keeping tabs on the Brighton and Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson and it will be interesting to see if they decide to bring in the 18-year-old to replace Alvarez in the near future.
