Six petits matchs.

The Glazers could pull the plug on the sale of Man United as issues remain

There is worrying news emerging for Man United fans as it is being reported that the club’s owners the Glazer family could pull the plug on the sale of the club after months of bids.

Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and Britain’s Sir Jim Ratcliffe have been the two main contenders to take over the club from the Glazers and according to the Daily Mail, their final bids for the Premier League club are around the £5bn mark. This is not what the Glazers were seeking when they initially put Manchester United up for sale and insiders believe that their figure was closer to £6bn.

Attempts have been made to raise those bids but they have not been successful.

Mike Keegan now states, that after it was said that a deal could be done before the new season begins, the Glazers will still be in charge of Man United when Erik ten Hag’s side kicks off their season on August 14 against Wolves. The journalist says that everything should have been done by now as the process has been ongoing since November.

The American owners keep pushing out the timeframe in which the sale should be done, which points to the fact that there are clear issues, which could see them pull the plug on the sale.

This would be a disaster for Man United fans as they have been protesting against the Glazer’s ownership for years and they seem to be on the brink of getting their wish.

All this uncertainty is also not good for Ten Hag’s team as they need as little noise as possible with a new season around the corner. However, nothing is confirmed yet, although this report does not sound good for the Man United fanbase.

Saudi Arabian club ready to offer up £30m for Man City star in addition to huge contract offer but club not keen on sale

Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ahli are ready to make a £30m bid for Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez but it is believed that the Premier League champions are not keen on selling the 32-year-old.

The future of the Algeria international is still up in the air ahead of the new season as the former Leicester star is yet to make a decision on what is best for him. Mahrez has two years left on his current Man City contract and could opt to stay and fight for his place in a very competitive Pep Guardiola side, reports The Athletic.

Al Ahli have already made a proposal to Mahrez worth a whopping £25m per year but will need to agree a transfer fee with the Premier League champions in order for the deal to progress.

City are believed to not be very keen on a sale as the Manchester club would then need to recruit a replacement before the campaign begins.

Riyad Mahrez to leave Man City?

Guardiola has already lost Ilkay Gundogan this summer and looks set to lose Kyle Walker as well in the coming weeks. There is also uncertainty over Bernardo Silva’s Man City future in addition to Mahrez and treble winners will not want to lose their squad depth that helped them achieve incredible things last season.

£30m seems a fair fee for Mahrez should City accept it but there is still a long way to go before this deal is done – although the Saudis can make things move very fast should they wish.

  • Boudjellal makes revelations about the OM sale

Boudjellal makes revelations about the OM sale

In 2020, Mourad Boudjellal, alongside Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudi, tried to buy Olympique de Marseille from Franck McCourt. A stinging failure, while the American and the French club have always denied having considered such a possibility. In the Sunday newspaperthe current president of the Hyères football club (N2) reveals everything about this highly publicized affair.

    Mourad Boudjellal

The sale of OM is a sea serpent. In 2020, Mohamed Ajroudi reported himself in the press, through Mourad Boudjellal, his main partner in this story, to seize Olympique de Marseille , club at the time owned by Frank McCourt, and which is still in place.

Very visible in the media, the duo could not get their hands on the winner of the Champions League in 1993. At OM, we saw no attempt at destabilization.

    “We were totally delirious”

Mourad Boudjellal, several months later, confided: this takeover project had no real basis. And the former main shareholder of the Rugby club Toulonnais has regrets around this affair: “In this story, I let myself be seduced, it was exciting. I never wanted to buy OM but (Mohamed) Ajroudi, he perhaps had the means or the investors for it. Except he just wanted to go back and forth. And above all, he lied because he never had contact with (Frank) McCourt, when he assured me. The media coverage drove him crazy. (…) We were totally delirious, ridiculous”.

In June 2022, Mourad Boudjellal had even indicated that he wanted to apologize to Frank McCourt for all this agitation around the Marseille club. For his part, in an interview dating from November, the journalist Thibaud Vézirian, who surfed the wave of a takeover of OM a lot, affirmed that the Tunisian Mohamed Ajroudi had not “not the shoulders” to take over the Marseille club.

    Boudjellal would have “plant”

Wanting to be lucid about his own abilities, Mourad Boudjellal indicated that he would not have been able to succeed at Olympique de Marseille, in the event of the club being taken over by Mohamed Ajroudi, which would have propelled him to the presidency of the 3rd in Ligue 1: “I haven’t been good, but I don’t care about my image. Even (Pablo) Picasso makes drafts. (…) So much the better that it didn’t happen with OM. It was way too big to start. I think I would have failed miserably. And that I would have been driven out of Marseilles with tar and feathers”.

Wishing to make Marseille fans dream, Mourad Boudjellal had notably indicated that at the head of the Marseille club, the president of Hyères would have tried to attract Zinedine Zidane to the OM bench.

    Selling, now what?

If the sale of OM is a possibility, in the event of a major offer, this now seems a long way off. Even if the recent partnership between the Olympian team led by Igor Tudor and the CMA-CGM brand has revived the rumors, to a much lesser degree.

Ronaldo, the sale… The owner takes stock

The owner of Manchester United comes out of silence. Through the voice of Avram Glazer, the English club discussed two hot topics, namely the departure of Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo and the sale.

    Avram GlazerManchester United

“I appreciate everything he has done”

The Glazer family comes out of their reserve. In response to the hot news surrounding Manchester United, Red Devils executive co-chairman Avram Glazer reacted to the sensational announcement of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure, made official on Tuesday by mutual agreement with immediate effect.

Approached by Sky Sportsthe owner of the English club refused to enter into the controversy, after the shocking words of the native of Funchal, contenting himself with paying tribute to the Portuguese striker in a very diplomatic and consensual statement. “Well, I’ll tell you about Cristiano Ronaldo – he’s a great Manchester United player, I appreciate everything he’s done for the club and wish him the best of luck for the future.” Announced on the shelves of FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, “CR7” would also interest a Saudi formation.

“We’ll see where it takes us”

Avram Glazer also spoke of the sale of Manchester United, a club that the American owners have held since 2005. While refusing to mention the reasons for this desire to hand over. “As we announced yesterday, the board went through a process and decided they were going to look at different strategic alternatives – and that’s what we are doing. We’ll see where it takes us.” No revelation also on the possible candidates for the takeover… According to The Timesformer Manchester United and England midfielder David Beckham is reportedly applying.

Fifth in the Premier League with 26 points, eleven behind leaders Arsenal, Erik ten Hag’s players will play in the Europa League play-offs against FC Barcelona on February 16 and 23.

new revelations on the sale of QSI!

Decided to sell part of his capital, the owner of Paris Saint-Germain could settle the file during the year 2023.

    Nasser Al-Khelaifi, PSG Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain is thinking very seriously about a minority cessation of its capital. According to information from The Team relayed on our site, an American investment fund plans to buy back part of the shares of the capital club held by Qatar Sports Investments, owner of the Parisian ogre since 2011 as successor to Colony Capital.

“We are not going to sell the club”

A news confirmed by the president of Paris Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, questioned on the subject by the English media TalkSPORT. “People always talk about PSG, thinking that we only have money to spend. It’s not true. As I said, we have different buyout offers. It’s a bargain, a fantastic bargain. A buyout offer of 4 billion? Over 4 billion, of course. But we are not going to sell the club. But why not a small percentage of the club. We are considering different offers actually.”

This Wednesday, the sports daily made new revelations on the subject. According to our colleagues, the cessation of Paris Saint-Germain between 10 and 15% could occur in the coming months, therefore in the very short term. “Depending on the speed of the exchanges, it is said that the deal could take place in the first half of 2023. If QSI agrees to sell a small percentage of the capital of PSG, it does not intend to withdraw, according to sources close to the owner .”

Paris Saint-Germain is also talking about its sports arena. The current leader of Ligue 1 would consider leaving the Parc des Princes for the Stade de France, since no agreement has yet been reached with the Paris council, which would claim too large a sum for the sale of the stadium. based at the Porte de Saint-Cloud.
