Ca avait du sens pour moi de me limiter en France dans ces deux clubs-là. Pourtant, j’ai eu quelques approches intéressantes, mais ça ne faisait pas sens.»

Le Qatar s’est présenté comme un cheveu sur la soupe, je ne me projetais pas du tout là-bas, parce qu’il n’était pas aussi actif que l’Europe ou l’Arabie saoudite. Mais il n’y a pas de hasard dans la vie, j’ai réussi à avoir tout ce que j’espérais et avoir ce sentiment de : “Ouais, c’est là-bas que je dois être”. Mon petit frère (Ibrahima Diallo, ex-Southampton, avait signé là-bas un mois plus tôt, donc c’est un sacré argument en plus.»

    “We’ve heard it before and the fans hear it all the time … I hope there’s going to be clarity for the fans that the owners come in and have the right vision and ideas to take the team forward for the next few years,” Meulensteen said.

    “Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Glazers have spent over £1bn since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and given the managers the support to get players in, but the issue is the lack of communication.
