West Ham United are reportedly open to allowing Nayef Aguerd to leave the club next summer.

That’s according to a report from Claret and Hugh, who claim the Hammers’ stance on keeping the Morocco international has recently changed following a poor performance against Manchester City.

Although Aguerd wasn’t singled out by his manager for the Cityzens’ second goal during their 3-1 victory on the weekend, Hughie Southon believes the Scotsman is now willing to let the 27-year-old leave.

“Nayef Aguerd – having been linked with both Manchester City and Newcastle – could be on his way if the right sort of bid were to be made next summer,” Southon posted.

“David Moyes didn’t name him when claiming City’s second goal was poor in yesterday’s comments but it was clear he held the central defender responsible.

“And it is not the first time his mistakes have drawn a response from the Hammers boot room where we have discovered there have been words about his performances in the past.

“And it now seems that were offers to be made in and around £50million by either club – or others – the club would certainly take a look.”

Aston Villa’s President of football operations Monchi wants to bring La Liga star Nico Williams to the club, according to AS.

With his current contract with Athletic Bilbao expiring in the summer of 2024, all eyes are on him. There are a number of clubs interested in signing him including Aston Villa, Liverpool and Barcelona.

But the Spanish club’s president Jon Uriarte has insisted that the club is working hard to convince him to sign a new contract with the club.

Aston Villa were strongly linked with a move for Williams in the summer and as per reports even had a bid rejected for him.

When asked about the player’s contract and his future, Uriarte told Gol TV (via AS):

“Nico, like his family, Iñaki, his mother, are very happy in Bilbao.”

“They love Athletic. They love our project. We are working hard on both sides so that he can stay.”

The player reportedly has a €50m release clause in his current contract but if Williams does not a sign a new contract, the player will be available on a free and a number of clubs will be waiting like sharks to sign him.

Tottenham Hotspur are considering signing Morocco’s World Cup star Yassine ‘Bono’ Bounou as a replacement for the aging Hugo Lloris who has had a poor season so far.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, a new goalkeeper is high on Tottenham’s managing director Fabio Paratici’s list of priorities, and Galetti does not rule out the possibility of Tottenham attempting to sign Jordan Pickford from Goodison Park or attempting to tempt Bounou away from Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan following his impressive performance in the World Cup.

    He told GiveMeSport:

“Tottenham are exploring different options in all the roles for January and especially for the summer, starting with the goalkeeper.”

“We know that they opened talks with Lloris for his contract. But it cannot be excluded that Spurs can try for Jordan Pickford or Yassine Bounou.”

The Moroccan goalkeeper helped his country reach the semi-finals before losing to France and then Croatia in the third-place play-off.

He had an impressive record during the tournament, keeping three clean sheets and allowing only five goals over six outings.

Yassine Bounou was Morocco’s hero in the Qatar World Cup helping them reach the semi-finals

Spurs are not the only club interested in acquiring the services of the Moroccan, with West Ham manager David Moyes also said to be interested in the keeper as per the reports from La Razon.

West Ham, according to the report, see him as their next potential number 1 with the 37-year-old Fabianski out of contract in the summer.

Sevilla recently extended Bounou’s contract until June 2025 and increased his release clause from €30m to €50m, but they may be willing to negotiate for a lower offer. According to a report by Vamos Mi Sevilla, Sevilla are willing to sell Bounou in January for €30m.

This could be a great opportunity for Spurs to sign a talented and experienced goalkeeper who has proven himself on the international stage as a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris.

  • “They are pursuing the player” – Fabrizio Romano confirms Manchester United are pursuing the transfer of €50m star

“They are pursuing the player” – Fabrizio Romano confirms Manchester United are pursuing the transfer of €50m star

Denzel Dumfries, a defender for Inter Milan, is being “pursued” by Manchester United, though a January transfer will be “really difficult,” according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who spoke with GiveMeSport.

With Aaron Wan-Bissaka reportedly surplus to requirements, the Red Devils are thought to be in the market for a new right-back, and Erik ten Hag of Dumfries has emerged as a possible option.

According to the Italian website CalcioMercatoWeb, United and Chelsea are both interested in luring Dumfries away from the San Siro.

According to the report, Inter are to demand a fee of around €50 million for the Dutch star, a price that may prove to be a bit too high for the two Premier League clubs for a position where they both have good options in Reece James and Diogo Dalot.

The full-back has 2 years left in his current contract with the Italian club, which will mean Inter will hold a stronger position at the negotiation table as they will be in no hurry to sell him.

Dumfries celebrates scoring against USA at the World Cup

And while Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that United are pursuing the player, he admits that it is very unlikely that they will invest the crazy money on a right-back. He told GIVEMESPORT:

“I don’t see them honestly investing crazy money on that position.

“So, when I see links to Denzel Dumfries, it’s true that they are pursuing the player, but I think it’s going to be really difficult for them to sign Dumfries in January especially having a budget limited because of the Glazer situation and also because they need a striker.

“So, I don’t see the Dumfries deal available for Man United in January.”

During his time at Inter, Dumfries has established himself as one of the top attacking right-backs in the league, racking up seven goals and 10 assists in 65 appearances across all competitions.

He had a great World Cup tournament as well, in particular the game against USA where he scored one and assisted twice, helping Netherlands win 3-1.
